IS YOUR TREE GROWING?

On a wall in the office of a huge tree farm [company] hangs a sign. It says, "The best time to plant a beautiful shade tree is twenty-five years ago. The second best time is today."

There is no time like the present to become skilled at your game. Maybe you wish you had started earlier, or maybe you wish you had found a better teacher or coach years ago. None of that matters today. Looking back and regretting will not help you move forward.

Your growth in skill development should be like a tree, constantly growing upward a little at a time, each day, each month, each year. Make sure your game grows a little each day. You may not be happy with the skill level you are currently at, but you don’t have to stay there, you can choose to grow.

None of us can change where we started, but we can certainly choose where we will end. It’s not what you are going to do that really counts. It’s what you are doing right now.

If you want shade tomorrow... plant your tree today.
