Tonight's Video Classroom Part I

In this particular video clip, Heather should have passed FORWARD to Hannah, but instead passed backward to Chelsea which increases a chance for a TURNOVER IN THE BACKCOURT.  Luckily Chelsea was able to dribble out of the pressure.

Next, Haley calls out RIP.  The problem is…Haley doesn’t RECOGNIZE that she has Chelsea, Hannah AND herself all on the same side of the floor as she initiates RIP.   The play is doomed right from the start.

Second problem.  When Haley passes the ball to Chelsea, guess who ducks to avoid interfering with the pass?  I think she believed the pass was intended for Hannah instead of her.

We need to do a much better job of showing some patience and position recognition before initiating the plays.  We want to dictate the flow and tempo of the play, but we have to make sure we are aiming at the target before pulling the trigger.
