This season will be bringing a few new changes to the team. In addition to losing three Seniors to graduation, the Lady Lions will also be losing current Senior Heather Smith, Freshman Chrsytal McDill and her Dad assistant coach Chip McDill. It won’t be the same team without them and we wish them all the best of luck!
Liz Farris will be replacing coach McDill as the new assistant coach. Liz, a former CCS point guard, spent last season as the manager for the Gulf Coast Commodores women’s team and in addition to bringing a contagious work ethic, hopes to bring some fresh ideas & concepts to the program.
And I’d be willing to bet the girls are hoping she doesn’t bring any of coach Skovel’s team rules with her (collect all cell phones before every game, etc) Ha!
