Ask any coach and they will tell you, the difference between a good team and a great team comes down to the bench. How deep is the bench and can they deliver when called upon.The answer to both of those questions is no longer in doubt. The bench delivered...and I mean BIGTIME! 19 of our 56 points came from the bench. 26 of our 48 rebounds came from the bench. 15 of our 32 steals...that's right, you guessed it, came from the bench.
We hit a few rough patches tonight which is to be expected in the first game, especially being that we really haven't practiced together as a team in about a week.
Aletheia's size looks impressive at first glance, but smart decision making and good ball handling will beat size 99% of the time. (ask Hilliary)
