Some of you may have seen the new Volkswagon commercial where the old guy gets mad and throws the chair...well, the old guy is actually former Indiana & Texas Tech basketball coach Bobby Knight. Most of you are probably too young to remember the screaming and chair-throwing antics of Coach Knight. But all of his theatrics aside, he is a brilliant basketball mind (the 1-2-2 zone among others). One of his most memorable & meaningful quotes: “I’ve never seen a player that didn’t want to win when the ball was tossed up...but I’ll tell you when better want to win — you’d better want to win the day before and two days before and three days before because the will to win the game is not nearly as important as the will to PREPARE to win the game.”
