Interesting talk this week in the NBA about young players starting at the point guard spot, which is the toughest position to learn and play in the NBA.  The Heat and Warriors have stated that they are basing playing time strictly on performance, not on contract size or draft status.

For young players, it demonstrates why you should hang in there, keep working hard, and set your goals high.

I bring this up because we are going to be doing something similar this season as well.  We are loaded with athletic players that have all made huge strides in the skills (ball handling, shooting, etc.) necessary to earn that additional time on the floor.

I was pleasantly surprised last night to watch Heather knock down eight 3’s.  A couple of practices back, Rachel hit five in a row and even Hilliary now has the outside range as I watched her hit a 3 last night.  It's going to be a fun season!

HOORA!
