KNOWING IS NOT ENOUGH

I remember watching a Bruce Lee movie a while back and one particular scene stuck with me.

Bruce Lee was an instructor at a martial arts academy and was walking past a young boy that was working out.  Lee stopped beside the boy and watched for a moment and told the boy to throw a kick.  The young boy, wanting to impress his teacher, got into his stance and threw a kick -- at which point Lee angrily snapped at him and told him to THROW A KICK!  The boy (appearing mad) then put tremendous effort and passion into the next kick he threw.  Lee then smiled and walked off.

The point of that little story?  If you are going to spend the time and effort to prepare to do something, then why not do it using the same level of intensity, passion and effort that you would expect it will take to defeat your opponent?

Practicing without aggressiveness and passion is just wasting time.

"Knowing is not enough; we must apply it.
Willing is not enough; we must do it."
