THE SMART TAKE FROM THE STRONG

How does Princeton, an Ivy League school that does not offer athletic scholarships, manage to hold their own against some pretty good D-I schools?

The philosophy behind the Princeton Offense couldn't be simpler: PLAY SMART.

Of course, it helps that their players are smart, after all, they did get into Princeton.  Playing smart  compensates for lack of size and talent.  They focus on winning through intelligence, selfless play, and in-your-face defense.

They control the tempo, they minimize turnovers, and they make the defense play defense. They don’t take the first open shot, they work the ball around until they find the shot they want - and it is usually an 'easy shot.'

The Smart Take from the Strong.
