Denver Nugget forward Chris Andersen clearly takes pride in his defense.
"That's what I do," he said. "I defend."
As the article in the Denver Post points out, his coach George Karl says that Andersen "kind of acts one way, but he's a lot more responsible and mentally into a game than people give him credit. He plays with such a reckless abandon that people think, well, he's not thinking out there. But he's actually very, very good cerebrally in the games."
"There was an intangible that Eddie Najera gave to our team last year that I was scared to death of not having this year. "You don't replace intangibles with statistics — you replace it with an energy, a focus and a team-ness. We got that out of Chris."
