The Road to Recovery

After returning home from the Eufaula trip, Liz finally had a chance to lay down and get some much-needed rest. It happened just in the nick of time, because her pain pump finally ran out last night. When I left her room at about 11:00 PM she was watching TV and feeling fine. I woke up at 2:17 AM this morning to a strange sound coming from her room. Upon opening her door, I found her crying and in considerable pain. So much so that she couldn’t even move her leg to get out of bed to get her pain medication. She said she had tried for over an hour to get our attention by calling out for someone to help her but she had her door closed and we couldn’t hear her calling.

She is about to enter the most difficult part of her recovery...the physical therapy (i.e., torture sessions). Please keep her in your prayers for a pain-free recovery.
