One of the things we stress the most in our program is individual defensive effort. We’ve watched clips of Debbie Black to emphasize the effort required in becoming a great defensive stopper. This morning, I came across a clip of the closest player I’ve ever seen to matching Debbie’s effort on defense. Check out #10 in the clip (Sandra Sinclair) and watch her excellent footwork as she anticipates and uses angles to turn the ball.
